Quick Quotes Scrapbooking Mini Reserve Weekend

I went to a scrapbooking workshop with my Daughter in Law last month. It was a two day workshop and we learned lots of new stuff. The first day we made a 20 page scrapbook and the second day was filled with 4 more classes. There were lots of prizes and games over the weekend. Overall, it was totally worth it!!!  I want to do the three day workshop next.  If you want more information go to the Quick Quotes website here. Here are some pictures of what we made over the weekend.

Newest Obsession...Explosion Boxes

My latest obsession has been making explosion boxes.  I needed a project for a design team application and it had to be simple, but sophisticated and this is what I came up with.  I used heavy weight card stock for the outside of the box and the lid to give it stability. The inside layers are normal weight card stock. I chose patterned paper to decorate each panel. I will add pictures and embellishments when I decide what I am going to do with each one. These will make great gifts for anyone.

I first decorated the inside of the box with some stamping in the corners.
I decorated the outside of the box with patterned paper and stamped my name to the bottom of the box.

The lid

Scored all remaining pieces to prepare them for making pockets

Could make one for ladies without making one for the guys

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed looking at my projects.

I have to thank Dawn from Dawns Inspiration for giving me the idea for this project.
